French Tutor

We are seeking to recruit a qualified, experienced, and enthusiastic French Teacher to join our teaching team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality French language instruction, supporting learners’ academic and personal development, and contributing positively to the overall life of the school.

The key responsibilities for the ideal candidate entails;

• Plan and deliver engaging, effective, and learner-centered French lessons.
• Assess, monitor, and report on learners’ progress and provide appropriate feedback.
• Develop and use relevant teaching and learning resources.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
• Prepare learners adequately for internal and external assessments.
• Maintain accurate records of learners’ performance and attendance.
• Participate actively in co-curricular activities and other school programmes.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders.
• Uphold the school’s policies, values, and professional standards.
• Demonstrate initiative and deliver quality instruction with minimal supervision.
• Take on other responsibilities related to teaching and learning as assigned by the school administration.

The ideal candidate should:

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education (French) or an equivalent relevant qualification.
• Have at least two (2) years of teaching experience, preferably in a reputable school environment.
• Be TSC compliant and meet all relevant professional requirements for teaching.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge and proficiency in the French language.
• Have excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Be able to plan and deliver high-quality, engaging instruction with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrate strong assessment and learner-support skills.
• Be committed, responsible, organized, and professional.
• Demonstrate the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Have a genuine passion for teaching and supporting learners to achieve their full potential.
• Having prior experience in teaching the Cambridge Curriculum in an International School will be an added advantage.
